About Dohlramie

Simplifying baby's first birthday celebration

Our Story

Planning a dohl—the joyous celebration of a baby's first birthday—can be daunting. As a new mom, there was already so much to learn about caring for my little one that the thought of having to plan a party on top of everything else was overwhelming. I found myself doing hours of research or scrolling through Facebook groups and wishing there was a way to instantly find the best dohl vendors nearby. It was also clear that many other moms had a similar struggle–wanting to plan their baby's dohl, but unsure which vendors specialize in dohl parties.

In cities like mine, many businesses couldn't be found on Yelp or through a simple google search. My success largely came from word of mouth or perusing kmama FB groups, but I believed it should be easier than this. I wanted to create a website where everything one needs to plan a dohl can be easily found in one place.

This is how Dohlramie was born. The directory featured on this website is not yet a comprehensive list, but anyone can share a recommendation through the "Add a Business" button. Our team will verify all submissions before adding them to the vendor directory. Let's support local businesses while taking the stress out of planning so parents everywhere can focus on what truly matters—celebrating this beautiful milestone.

Dohl, also known as "dol" or "doljanchi," is a Korean tradition for celebrating a baby's first birthday.

Ramie is a fabric commonly used in hanboks (Korean traditional dress).
